Following the further development and optimisation of our continuous casting machines, Lamifil is able to produce copper alloys with a specific homogeneous structure, which is suitable to produce wires that are used in high performance conductors.
Lamifil’s specific copper alloys are in great demand in the aviation, robot, electronics, telecommunications and automotive industry. Our wires are used in data communication cables and for energy transmission.
For these applications high tensile strength and good conductivity have to be combined with excellent flexlife. Our alloys strive to find the optimal balance, and provide a tailor-made recipe to meet our customer’s specific needs.
Apart from the electrical applications, some of our wires are also used in embroidery for traditional costumes and as guitar strings.
